CHARACTER

This product is a suspension of fine particles. After standing still, the fine particles sink and shake to form a uniform milky white suspension.

PHARMACODYNAMICS ACTION

Antibiotics. This product has a broad-spectrum bactericidal effect on gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria (including the production of β- Lactamase bacteria) are effective. Sensitive bacteria mainly include Pasteurella multocida, Pasteurella haemolyticus, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, etc. Some Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterococcus are resistant to antibiotics. This product has stronger antibacterial activity than ampicillin and stronger activity against streptococci than fluoroquinolones. The half-life t1/2 of this product is 22.7h, and a single intramuscular injection can maintain the effective blood drug concentration for more than 5 days (135.36h for t>0.2 µ g/ml)

INDICATIONS

Used to treat bacterial respiratory diseases in pigs caused by pathogenic bacteria such as Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Haemophilus parasuis.

USAGE AND DOSAGE

Calculated as cefotaxifur. Intramuscular injection: 6-8 mg per 1 kg body weight for pigs.

ADVERSE REACTION

NOTICE

(1) Shake well before use.

(2) Not suitable for freezing.

(3) Animals with allergic reactions need to be promptly injected with epinephrine for rescue.

(4) Cefotaxifur has certain renal toxicity and is mainly excreted through the kidneys. Animals with renal insufficiency should reduce the dosage of the drug as appropriate.

(5) Keep out of reach of children.

(6) Personnel with a history of allergy to penicillin and cephalosporins are prohibited from contacting this product.
